Graceful by name and appearance, La Graciosa is the ‘other' Canary island – one that few ever visit. Lying just a kilometre north of Lanzarote, it's like a different world – there are no cars, so no need for paved roads. And this luxury catamaran cruise is the ideal opportunity to get to know this rustic volcanic island.Board the ferry and cross the El Rio Strait over to the sleepy village of Caleta del Sebo, the larger of the island's two settlements. Explore it at your own pace or with your guide. Next, jump aboard the catamaran – where you'll be handed a mojito – and glide past the island's rugged coastline. You'll head to Playa Francesa beach, which lies in the shadow of the Amarilla volcano. Here, you can snorkel, kayak or spread your towel on the wave-washed golden sands.Meanwhile, back on board, you'll be served a lunch of paella, washed down with cool drinks. Afterwards, you can take in the views from the deck before catching the ferry back to Lanzarote.

As combinations go, it's hard to beat a sunset cruise with a dolphin-watching expedition. But that's exactly what this evening excursion is all about. The Biosfera sails from Puerto del Carmen marina early in the evening. For more than two hours, your captain will take you to waters famed for their dolphins though sightings are not guaranteed. As the boat zooms along the Atlantic, you'll be served Cava and pastries. And soon it'll be time for the other big show – sunset. Pink, gold and scarlet skies are a common sight. For the return back to port, you'll cruise past volcanic cliffs and secluded coves.

Lanzarote's colours radiate beauty at any time of the day, but they're on a different level come sunset. This two-hour-long cruise takes to sea at the best time of the day. Sip on a sweet and tangy mojito as you enjoy Mother Nature's show from the decks. After pick-up, you'll head to Puerto del Carmen to hop on a catamaran. Nurse your mojito as we glide along a coastline with a spine of more than a dozen volcanoes silhouetted against the horizon – a unique panorama. You'll also be able to munch on tasty canapés and enjoy a complimentary beer, sangria or soft drink.Sit back and relax as the sky changes colours and the contours of Lanzarote's volcanic landscapes come into their own. Feel the salty sea breeze and watch the sun slowly set to the sound of the waves lapping against the hull. A perfect way to end the day.

Captivating scenery and natural works of art can be found in the northern corner of Lanzarote thanks to its extraordinary geology. First up, you'll see the Green Caves, where a labyrinth of galleries lead you to an impressive auditorium. You'll also head to Jameos del Agua – descend into this volcanic cavern to see it rock gardens and glassy lake. Also on the agenda is Mirador del Rio, which offers wow-factor vistas across to the island of La Graciosa. Then we'll drive through the Valley of the Thousand Palm Trees to Haria for lunch. And lastly in Mala, you'll visit a cochineal interpretative centre.
